Investments
A principal feature of the Flexible Pension Scheme is the wide range of investments permitted within it which include:-
- Stocks and shares quoted on the UK Stock Exchange including securities on The Alternative Investment Market (AIM)
- Stocks and shares traded on a recognised overseas stock exchange
- Shares in Open Ended Investment Companies (OEICs)
- Unquoted equities (subject to individual consideration), but excluding any individual unquoted equities for overseas companies
- Futures and options traded through a recognised exchange
- Unit trusts and investment trusts
- Insurance company managed funds and unit linked funds
- Deposit accounts with any authorised financial institution
- Commercial property or land both in the UK and overseas
- Second-hand endowment policies via a recognised dealer
- FSA recognised offshore funds
- Trustee borrowing from an authorised institution
- Hedge funds
- Residential property through a qualifying special purpose vehicle
- Overseas property investments
- Commercial loans to unconnected parties
- All alternative investments can be considered, however complex, subject to them complying with HM Revenue & Customs rules
