Investments

A principal feature of the Flexible Pension Scheme is the wide range of investments permitted within it which include:-

  • Stocks and shares quoted on the UK Stock Exchange including securities on The Alternative Investment Market (AIM)
  • Stocks and shares traded on a recognised overseas stock exchange
  • Shares in Open Ended Investment Companies (OEICs)
  • Unquoted equities (subject to individual consideration), but excluding any individual unquoted equities for overseas companies
  • Futures and options traded through a recognised exchange
  • Unit trusts and investment trusts
  • Insurance company managed funds and unit linked funds
  • Deposit accounts with any authorised financial institution
  • Commercial property or land both in the UK and overseas
  • Second-hand endowment policies via a recognised dealer
  • FSA recognised offshore funds
  • Trustee borrowing from an authorised institution
  • Hedge funds
  • Residential property through a qualifying special purpose vehicle
  • Overseas property investments
  • Commercial loans to unconnected parties
  • All alternative investments can be considered, however complex, subject to them complying with HM Revenue & Customs rules
