Investment Managers and Platforms
With our SIPP and SSAS experience, Dentons has already approved several investment agreements with a large number of investment managers and trading platforms.
You may appoint an investment manager or platform firm of your choice (subject to Dentons’ acceptance) on an advisory, discretionary or execution-only basis.
Advisory portfolio: An investment manager gives you recommendations, but you make the final investment decisions.
Discretionary portfolio: An investment manager makes and carries out investment decisions on your behalf, within an agreed mandate.
Execution-only portfolio: You choose the investments yourself, and the provider carries out your instructions without giving advice.
You are responsible for your investment decisions if you choose an advisory service or decide upon execution only. If you choose a discretionary service, the investment decisions are delegated to the discretionary fund manager. You will also need to decide whether to seek regulated financial and/or investment advice before you make any investment decisions.
