Dentons Pensions Achieves ‘B Strong’ Financial Strength Rating

Dentons has secured a second consecutive 'B' financial strength rating from AKG Financial Analytics Limited (AKG), a leading independent provider of assessment and insight across the financial services sector.

The ‘B’ rating reflects ‘Strong’ financial strength following AKG’s assessment of a company’s capacity to consistently deliver products and services to its clients.

For over 30 years, AKG has delivered independent assessments and insights that enable financial advisers to better understand the financial and operational strength of providers across the industry.

AKG’s latest assessment highlighted a number of key strengths that underpin Dentons Pensions’ performance and resilience, including:

• Dentons Pensions has operated in the self invested pension market for over 45 years, with an established and experienced senior leadership team

• Combined SIPP and SSAS AuA of £8.2bn as at 31 March 2026 [30 June 2025: £7.9bn] with 8,556 SIPPs and 1,298 SSASs at that date

• Dentons operates a proprietary administration system, with a long track record of stability and ongoing development; this system has proved to be effective in support of the efficient migration of acquired businesses

• DPM's capital resources are reported positively and it states it has consistently held reserves higher than required by the FCA – coverage reported at 647% of its capital adequacy requirement as at 31 March 2026 [30 June 2025: 476%].

• Dentons states that it achieves high standards of service through efficient administration processes that are continually reviewed and updated.

• Pension consultants are supported by experienced administrators, with work undertaken by dedicated teams rather than a departmental model, providing bespoke administration and client support

• An extensive range of technical materials is made available via the Dentons website, including guides, case studies, due diligence reports and articles, aimed at clients, advisers and paraplanners

• DPM positions itself as an independent specialist with a strong understanding of adviser and client needs. It has no ties to fund managers or insurers, allowing customers to access a wide range of asset classes within HMRC and FCA rules
